Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scanvio mobile application and related services ("Service") provided by Gamya Consultancy and Electric Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("Company", "we"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) and capable of forming a binding contract under your jurisdiction's law to use the Service.

2. The Service

Scanvio is an AI-assisted document scanning application. Features include OCR, document summarization, translation, receipt parsing, PII redaction, business card extraction, and AI legal document analysis.

Important: Scanvio is an AI tool, not a substitute for a qualified professional. AI output may contain errors. Do not rely on AI-generated summaries or legal analyses for any binding decision. Always verify with a licensed lawyer, accountant, doctor, or other qualified professional.

3. Plans & payments

One-time download fee — ₹1 (India) / $1 (Global) lifetime support fee, charged once.
Pro & Legal+ tiers — billed monthly / quarterly / yearly via Razorpay (India) or Stripe (Global).
No auto-renewal — your subscription does not renew automatically. To continue, you must manually purchase another cycle when the current one expires.
Prices may change with 30 days' notice; existing prepaid cycles are honoured at the original price.
Applicable taxes (GST in India, VAT in EU) are added at checkout.

4. Free tier limits

Free users are limited to 5 AI analyses and 3 translations per device per day. Quotas reset every 24 hours UTC. Abuse (e.g. circumventing quotas, multi-device farming) may result in account suspension.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purposes.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
Process documents containing CSAM, terrorism content, or material prohibited by your jurisdiction.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the AI outputs as a stand-alone service.
Submit material that violates third-party intellectual property rights.
Stress-test or attempt to overload the backend (rate-limit circumvention).

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including all logos, code, and the Scanvio name, is the property of the Company. You retain full ownership of the documents you scan and process. We claim no licence over your content beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the Service (i.e. transient processing through LLM APIs).

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Scanvio AI output is NOT legal, financial, medical, or safety advice. You acknowledge that AI may produce inaccurate, outdated, or misleading information and you assume full responsibility for verifying output before acting on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, capped at ₹10,000 / US$120 (whichever applies). The Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the Company against any claim arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, your local data remains on your device — we do not have remote-wipe access. Active prepaid subscriptions will continue until expiry; no pro-rata refunds for breach-of-terms termination.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be resolved by arbitration in New Delhi under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (single arbitrator, English language). Notwithstanding the above, you may bring small-claims matters in your local consumer forum.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
