Delete Your Account & Data

You are in full control of your data. Scanvio offers a one-tap in-app deletion flow plus an out-of-band email path for users who have already uninstalled the app. Either way, deletion is permanent.

1. Option A — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Scanvio app on your phone.
  2. Tap Settings (gear icon, top-right of the home screen).
  3. Scroll to the DEVICE & PRIVACY section.
  4. Tap Delete my data (permanent).
  5. Confirm by tapping Delete everything.

The deletion happens immediately. You are returned to the onboarding screen as if you had just installed the app for the first time. No re-login, no support ticket, no waiting period.

2. Option B — Email request (already uninstalled the app)

Reach out via any of the channels below. Use the address you used to register / pay, with subject "Delete my Scanvio account".

However, on deletion these records are anonymised — your name, phone, email, and other personal identifiers are stripped. Only the transaction order ID, amount, currency, and date remain. The records can no longer be associated with you.

5. Frequently asked questions

5.1 Will my refund still process if I delete?

Yes — refunds work off the order ID, which is retained anonymously. We recommend completing any pending refund before deletion for the smoothest experience. Email billing@scanvio.app with your order ID first.

5.2 What about my scans & documents?

Scans never leave your device (they are stored in app-local AsyncStorage, not on our servers). When you tap Delete my data from inside the app, the local storage is wiped along with everything else. If you have already uninstalled the app, your scans were already removed by the operating system when you uninstalled.

5.3 Can I delete only part of my data?

Yes — for partial requests (e.g., remove phone but keep email so the receipts still link to you), email privacy@scanvio.app and we will handle it within 30 days.

5.4 Is deletion reversible?

No. Once deleted, the records cannot be restored. If you reinstall the app and pay again, a brand-new account is created — your previous purchase cannot be linked back.

5.5 What if I forgot which email / phone I used?

Email privacy@scanvio.app from any address you have access to and describe the approximate purchase date. We will help you identify the right account before deletion.

5.6 Do I lose access immediately?

Yes — for in-app deletion, access is revoked immediately. For email requests, we revoke access within 30 days (15 days in India) and confirm by email when complete.
